Snooker’s governing body has charged 10 Chinese professional snooker players as part of an investigation into match-fixing. The embarrassment threatens snooker’s position in its most important growth market.
World No. 9 Zhao Xintong and former Masters champion Yan Bingtao will both face charges, the World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association (WPBSA) said on Wednesday.
The players have all been charged with match-fixing, with some also facing charges related to betting on snooker matches and attempting to obstruct an investigation.
